tuesday March 18

We took Jeff to the airport today.  We came home in time to have 1 last piano practice before our piano lessons.

We watched this video after dinner.  I think Nathan is going to become a particle physicist, he is so excited by all of this stuff, and space.  We had watched a few videos yesterday which are called science symphony's and Nathan loved them.  I swear he has a better understanding of what gluons, higgs particles, and the four forces of Nature than I do.  He loves learning about black holes as well.  We watched one of brian cox's on black holes yesterday.  Nathan I think learns top down, in that he needs to see the whole big picture before he can learn all the little details.  I think this is why math has been difficult for him, well easy math anyway, he understands difficult math concepts.

  1. Very interesting observation!

He definitely knows more than I do about those topics. Perhaps we can find a youtube video explaining the importance of learning math. Like this one. Although I didn't watch the whole thing (because, you know - it's math!) But if you preview it and it's not quite right, there may be other similar ones:
